Hey everyone, it’s only seven and a half weeks until Christmas (yes I’m that blogger!)
I love planning for the festive season – my Pinterest boards are full of Christmas food and decoration ideas already and my diary’s fast filling up with celebratory drinks, dinners and holiday plans.
One of my favourite things to do before Christmas is visit London’s Borough Market with my sister. Every year we pack our parents a hamper full of foodie treats from the market sellers as well as a few home-cooked goodies of our own. It’s so much fun deciding what to include, and even more fun testing out the tasters that they leave you on the stalls!
This year, I thought I’d share a few hamper-friendly recipes with you in case you fancy packing your own Christmas hamper gift. What do you think? Obviously I can’t tell you exactly what we’re planning to include in our Christmas hamper pressie (that would spoil the surprise for its recipients!) but we usually have more ideas than we can fit into a box wrapped in Christmas paper, so someone should put them to good use!
Anyway, I’m getting waaay ahead of myself, as we’ve only just left October, which means it’s time for some October favourites. I thought I’d share both mine and yours this month, so I hope you enjoy looking back and, as always, THANK YOU for reading.
Your October favourites:
- Five ways I’ll keep moving forward when the clocks go back
- September favourites – the highs and the lows
- Have I always been a worrier?
My October favourites:
- Pumpkin feta filo parcels (OK, so technically I published this recipe in September but it’s nice and seasonal!)
- Running without GPS
- All-natural almond flour cookie bites
I also promised you another Rinroad about town (and country!) walk and a Rinroad recovers post on experimenting with essential oils. Well, I’ve done the hiking, I’ve taken the pictures, and I’ve stunk out my flat with homemade essential oil mixes – so those updates will most definitely be coming soon!
What would you include in your Christmas hamper? Leave me a message in the comments below or tweet me @Rinroad.
